We are in the final 48 hours of me boarding a flight to the happiest place on earth! I am so pumped and ready for a vacation. The last time I packed a suitcase was in March and that was for a photoshoot! So this suitcase definitely looks a little different! Packing for Disney has been so much fun, and I am so excited to be sharing the details of how I packed for Disney in today’s post. Keep scrolling to find out more!

Where did I start?
If you are like me, you like packing around an itinerary. Thankfully, the service we booked our trip with created an entire itinerary for our vacation. (More on that in a later post!) So building outfits off of this was a piece of cake! Since it’s around halloween, I based all my outfits off of the color palettes of my favorite characters. Red and white look for Baymax from Big Hero 6, blue exercise dress for Cinderella, and green biker shorts and matching sweater for Mike Wazowski are just the tip of the iceberg! By basing each look off of the itinerary as well as my favorite Disney characters, it helped keep my packing light as well as organized! (I will dive into everything I packed a little later.)
This seems like an obvious one, but I need both hands to count the number of times I finished packing, only to check the weather and have to repack and re-evaluate my entire suitcase! When traveling to Disney, you can almost guarantee at least one rainy day. This trip, the weather in Orlando is going to be wet, humid, and low 80’s every day. So, I’ll be packing dry wicking materials and quick dry tops and pants so I can stay comfortable and cool all day long! Outdoor Voices has technical apparel that is absolutely perfect for this kind of weather. We will be spending a couple of days at some of the water parks, so I’ll be adding my aerie swimsuits to my suitcase as well!
What kind of luggage?
I’ve been on quite a few flights in my life, and with my dad being a pilot, we are all sticklers for quality luggage. So when I discovered iFly luggage, I was shook. (BTW this isn’t an add. I genuinely LOVE this suitcase set!) Not only is it affordable, but it’s extremely durable. It’s the only luggage my husband and I recommend now! With easy 360′ rolling wheels on all four corners, we fly through the airport with ease. They also now have a mini case to help keep all your documents in order while you’re shuffling through the airport. Seriously, iFly makes it so easy to pack and keep my essentials organized in my suit case! Check out my favorite picks from the iFly luggage line at Walmart!
I have had the same carry-on/travel backpack for years, and honestly I am shook it’s from H&M. I always travel with my Alexander Wang x HM backpack in a black neoprene fabric because it’s squishy, so it fits under my seat, it’s chic, usually matches my all black or muted color airport looks, and it can hold quite a bit! Some of my go-to essentials for my carry-on are:
- Electronics bag – All my electronics in one pouch so I can easily pup it out for TSA to search and check. This includes AirPods AND corded headphones (You don’t want dead pods on a plane)
- Toiletries bag – I always keep a mini face wash, tooth brush and tooth paste, a little block of hard deodorant, and mascara just to refresh in the bathroom or before touchdown
- Laptop – in its own case for easy access at TSA and on the plane
- Socks for the plane – sometimes I even throw an extra change of clothes if I know we are going straight to somewhere from the flight
- Any filming/camera equipment for blogging – Naturally in it’s own bag to keep it all organized
- Water Bottle and snacks – I like packing my own snacks because I am extremely picky and almost always want a snack mid flight.
This trip, I do have to bring work with me, so I also had to pack my planner and work binder. Thankfully though, everything fits!I also packed my “park bag” for this trip! (If you have no idea what I am talking about, check out What’s in my Disney Bag here!) Check out my favorite carry-on backpacks below!
What did I pack?
Like I mentioned above, knowing it would be rainy and humid, I packed almost entirely Outdoor Voices apparel! Partially because I know it’s comfortable, but also because it is labeled as “technical apparel”, meaning it’s engineered to be used outside. My favorite though has to be the tech sweat leggings, sweatee shirts, and the exercise dresses! These combos are always so chic and classy, plus they’re in really fun colors! Outdoor Voices is great because their clothes are lightweight, breathable, and absolutely adorable when paired with white sneaks and a fanny pack!
For shoes, since I know I will be walking close to (if not more than) 10,000 steps every day, comfort is KEY! While getting cute photos is part of the Disney package, being comfortable and blister free is also pretty nice! I’ll be packing my Fila’s, Nike Pegasus Zoom, and a nicer pair of leather Toms sneakers to keep my feet comfortable! I am also throwing in my Bare Straps just in case we find ourselves in rainier than we thought weather!
Have a magical adventure!
