My Inspiration…
I fell in love with the capsule wardrobe back in 2016 when I discovered my go to favorite brand, Vetta Capsule. You may remember the 30 day challenge I did, and if not you can read about the first week here! This year though, they shared wardrobe recipes and I am LIVING for them! Vetta Capsule has truly captured the “how” in how to create a capsule wardrobe, successfully. Check out my two favorite recipe books they created below. To get more inspiration on relaxed capsule’s, casual capsules, and edgy capsules check out Vetta Capsules full post here.
My Essential Winter Tops
For me, sweaters are all I wear in the winter. It’s an excuse to wear publicly acceptable sleep wear or lounge wear! But, with all the holiday parties and warmer weather on the horizon, sometimes you still want to show a little skin! This winter I have been living in my reversible cropped shirt from Vetta Capsule, but I linked a dupe from Everlane, as well as my go to red sweater from old navy! For me, every winter capsule needs a good classy and flattering turtle neck. Especially when it’s as versatile as the Everlane one. Wear it under a blazer, with high waisted jeans, with a skirt, you name it, it’ll work! Shop my essential tops below by clicking on the images!
My Essential Winter Bottoms
This time of year, its thick heavy weight cotton denim for this girl! Or maybe it’s a sleek black jegging to compliment an oversized sweater kinda day. Either way, the winter bottoms are essential from taking an outfit from frumpy, to office chic. My go to recently have been my high waisted GAP mom jeans or my Zara cutoff jeans. If I am dressing up a look I love my pleated skirt, and even my wrap skirt with tights! What’s great about winter bottoms is how you can play with various lengths of pants and skirts. You can go for an edgy fashion cut, or keep it simple and classy! Shop all my favorite winter bottoms below by clicking on the images!
My Essential Winter Outerwear and Dresses
For me, bold coats make BOLD statements, and that’s just what I love to do! I have been (not kidding) LIVING in my red puffer from Old Navy. Both affordable and fashionable! Another favorite outerwear includes the classy wrap blazer, and a simple cardigan. Both easy to pair with almost any top in you winter wardrobe. For me, I only have one dress this winter, because it is THAT versatile! Head to my IG to see how I styled this single dress 10 ways! One dress with the right pieces can have endless possibilities, making it a vital essential item in your wardrobe. Dress it up, or dress it down! My Essential Winter Accessories
It’s winter time, which means scarves, headbands, wraps, you name it! All of the winter accessories I LOVE! From dazzaling chic and fashionable shoes, to the essentials like tights, handbags, and scarves. I try not to splurge on many shoes, but always grab a seasonal pair. These red chealsea boots are a perfect fit in my wardrobe! Since my colors are neutral, the pop really adds to the look. You can also never go wrong with a scarf! Mine is from a trip overseas, but sticking with the palette I linked a bright red one here! Shop all my favorite winter bottoms below by clicking on the images!
How I styled my capsule!
Styling your capsule is where the fun begins! From layering classic pieces with bold colors, to hitting the edgy points on a chic work wear look. This winter capsule has to be one of my top seasonal favs for sure! Carrying through some bright blues and reds, while still holding true to my minimalist color palette I already have for my whole wardrobe.
