Hello loves and welcome back to another installment of Eat Like A Dentonite! This week has been CRAZY! Especially with all the back to school stuff going on, wrapping up a couple projects, and a few other special things in the works! But for now, we are going to talk about the greatest food group of any Southerner. Barbecue!
May you always be surrounded by good friends and great barbecue.
Starting off with…
This beautiful arrangement I am holding right here happens to be the #1 thing on the Bumbershoot Menu. I give you, the loaded tater tots! This little sucker is piled high with melty cheese, sweet BBQ brisket, Ranch dressing, and freshly sliced jalapeños! You honestly couldn’t ask for a better starter! Share it with friends, or make it your meal, either way this yummy starter WON’T disappoint!
This is what the good folks of Texas Monthly rave about. The BBQ at Bumbershoots is juicy, satisfying, and just what every Southerner dreams of when they think “cookout”. For me, I am a sandwich kinda girl. So I ordered the Chopped Brisket Sandwich and it was just what this girl needed! Smothered on BBQ sauce on Texas Toast, the chopped sandwich is a classic that Bumbershoot executes perfectly. My husband ordered the ribs and they were equally as delicious. They were seasoned to perfection and made right there in their massive BBQ Pit day of! Ribs are always a classic food choice at any BBQ place, and these were no exception!
So if you’re still hungry after downing all the BBQ, you have some options for a sweet treat. You can take home a 1/2 pint (yes, a 1/2 pint) of Banana Pudding to snack on. Or you can pop next door to the OG Gnome Cone Stand and cool off in the summer heat! I personally am a HUGE fan of banana pudding, so I would definitely go that route if it were me!
Bumbershoot BBQ has a family friendly atmosphere that every Dentonite loves. Not only is the food great, but the experience for families it top notch. You can let the kids run loose, paint on the fence, and enjoy their food knowing that you can see them at all times, and there’s only one way out! Not only is it family friendly, but the food quality is top notch as well. with classics like brisket, ribs, sausage and more, there’s a little something for everyone to enjoy. It’s no wonder these guys have been featured in Texas Monthly, The Dallas Morning News, and more! There’s nothing like good food, friends, and a cold beer that can’t fix a thing! So be sure to swing by and say hello to the Bumbershoot BBQ crew next time you’re traveling down 377!
